Just tried Google Spreadsheets (here is a tour ).
It has got basic functionality of a spreadsheet with adding/deliting sheets, formatting, (weird) sorting, formulae, 'save as xls/csv' and 'sharing the sheet with friends.
Yet...a looong way to go, if it’s targeting Excel.
