NIMTUG presentation slidedeck

I've posted my slidedeck from the Dotnetnuke 3.0x presentation I made to NIMTUG on Monday night on my site for anyone who's interested. The material covers the basics of the portal including installation & configuration, as well as touching on some of the architecture, and a few of the new 3.0x features . You can download it here (cheers to Scott McCulloch for donating some of the graphics to brighten up the deck) . It was a good night, with an impressive number of people turning up for Nimtug's maiden event, good to see the high level of interest. I ran wildly over my time, as I'd radically underestimated how long it would take me to get through the material, but the audience were very patient and forgiving of the occasional beta-related crashes.

Congratulations in particular to the organiser Damien, a local usergroup was long overdue.

Gravatar Well done guys,I wish you the best of luck with your group. I'm particulary interested in .NET Nuke as it happens. I've been running with the 3.0.8 and 3.0.9 betas here for the past few weeks on our dev servers. It's a really great community project with tons of great features and is architected very well. The use of the ASP.NET 2.0 Membership providers in DNN 3 is particularly interesting (Been working on my own LDAP provider lately, nearly there :-))

Btw a guy by the name of Daniel Egan is launching a new book this month called "Building Websites with VB.NET and DotNetNuke 3.0" You can preorder a copy at http://www.packtpub.com/book/dotnetnuke

It covers:
o Create and manage your own website with DotNetNuke
o Customize and enhance your site with skins and custom modules
o Extend your site with forums and the best of third-party add-ons
o Complete coverage of setup, administration, and development
