For anyone from the North who can't make it down to INDA events, a local Microsoft User group has setup in Northern Ireland. It's still in it's infancy, especially as it's creator, Damien McGivern, is busy with a new job, as well as trying to start the group up, email prospective members, and put together a site (I'm sure Paschal sympathises :) ). I've attached a fragment of an email for anyone interested in signing up. At some point I'll will be giving a presentation to it on Dotnetnuke, either covering the portal itself, Module development or else showcasing some of the upcoming 3.0 enhancements such as membership/roles provider integration, static localization, drag-n-drop module placement and the friendly URL HTTPHandler.

+ any topic that a majority of the group want to cover providing we
can get a speaker.
Any ideas for the group would be appreciated, I'm also working on getting a
survey for the members as to their interests, experience etc; so if you sign
up look out for that. At the moment there's just a forum (only available to
members). I've got backing from Microsoft who will be helping with the costs
but it all comes down to numbers so spread the word!
