VCalendar issue

Thanks to Tiernan to point me in the right direction for creating VCalendar links. However (as usual with dates format) I have some issues with the Date format as you can see below.

I tried everything but Outlook seems to accept only this format. Of course it works but as you can see if you don't deploy the mini calendar view, you can wrongly think the event will be saved for the 7th of January and not the 1st of July.

Any ideas ?

UPDATE: Problem solved (check the comment), thanks to Brian

Gravatar Hey Paschal,

Outlook uses the DateTime format that is specified for your machine. So, if you are using Windows XP you can change the DateTime format by doing the following:

Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Customize (on Regional Options tab) -> Date tab.

From there you can set the DateTime format that you want to use to more or less anything.

Hope that helps. 4/26/2005 11:10 AM | Brian Delahunty

Gravatar Brian thanks for the answer, but it's more strange than that. When I check my date format on my laptop, yes the short date was wrong even if I have English(Ireland) selected. When I look on another machine, it's fine. One thing I am sure is that I never changed the date format on my laptop.
So I hope it's only my local machine, because this VCal link will be public !
