Brian posted today his frustration about the location and the day chosen for the user groups meeting.
Well for the date easy to answer because Monday is usually the most easy week day to have people gathering in Dublin. If you remove the 'social' days, you don't have really a great choice :-))
Be sure that if we have local events (see below), I will do the journey to your town.
For the location, when I started this user group it has always been my intention to have a regional INDA implementation, at least in the most important cities. I would say Cork, Galway, Waterford, Limerick could be a start (Don't flame me if I forgot your city/town)
Now that a new user group exist in the North, not sure to have something in Belfast, maybe.
So how to successfully implement this ?
I will suggest three related ways:
1 - As a the team leader for INDA, I will tour next year with Microsoft around the country to take the pulse of the developer's world. This will help me to identify the requirements, and what you developers want and how.
2 - I am working very hard to get our sessions live for every developers in Ireland. I hope to have that secured for the next session.The tools exist, the technology is there, be sure we will have this up very soon
3 - I also encourage any developers from the counties I mentioned above to contact me if they are interested in representing locally INDA. They will have all the group support for that.
So I think Brian this can give you the start of an answer :-)
