In the last Sunday Business Post, I read a great interview with Richard Stallman, the man behind GNU/Linux. His photograph remind me of the good old hippie time (even if I was young at the time I remember some ).
Richard define what is in my opinion the best view on free software, even also he make a difference with open source:
" There are four essential freedoms that define free software:
Freedom 0: The freedom to run the program as you wish
Freedom 1: The freedom to help yourself, study the source code and do what you want with it.
Freedom 2: The freedom to make and redistribute copies so you can help your neighbour
Freedom 3: The freedom to publish a modified version so others can benefit from your work. Free software is defined in terms of freedom for the user. "
I think this is a bit and in all modesty how I started INDA :-)
